That was fast, another update for you all. The gun is now properly positioned in game :)
Now only things left now is allowing it to be obtained in game *taking suggestions here*, making it Hancock's Default, setting the proper texture instead of using the alien blaster one, apply dpillari's pending retexture as a paintjob, possibly make some custom modifications for it such as blunderbuss or rifle. Oh and the most important thing: find someone to create custom animations for this.

Lore wise I feel this weapon to be a more advanced version of the Laser Musket, except with infinite ammo and no cranking.

    You could put it in the museum of freedom. But that may be a little overpowered early game. you could make it spawn on minutemen, fits the theme but will probably have compatibility issues. you could put it in the weapons range of the institute, but then you cant get it till late game. Maybe in the CIT ruins, or like speedfung said, USS constitution.

      Unless I make the variants you find earlier more weak, while the strongest variants could be on NPC character's like Clint's Flint for Example.

      Maybe the early game ones could be like prototypes. Weaker,slow to fire. And then it could be upgraded with higher levels of the science perk. I do like the ideas of unique ones. Would they have unique skins?

      One unique one would be wielded by Lieutenant Clint *The ex Minuteman turned gunner*
      Which would be amply named "Clint's Flint"
      And hancock's default weapon variant will be called: "Hancock's Cocked Handgun" long name, but I thought it would be interesting..
      The effects of which are still pending

      Hancock's could increase in damage based on your drug addictions.

      You mean hancock's could have a modified version of the Junkie's Legendary effect?
      Hmm, looking at the effects of that it would make sense xP
      Though I may combine some other effects into one for this special unique weapon variant.... I'm thinking of combining the "Junkie's" with the "Irradiated" and the "Nimble".
      So in total it would do increased damage per addiction, deal 50 points of additional radiation damage, and makes the wielder 75% faster when aiming... Sounds about right for a person like Hancock.

      Hmm, I'm wondering if I should make another unique one found underwater that shoots rad-sardines as projectiles and makes NPCs flee when hit xD

      I personally don't have beth.net... But I may give permission for someone to bring it to beth.net after the fact, as long as they give all the team member's credit. Provide the link to original mod, etc.

    You could always put it on the corpse of the dead minuteman general under the castle.

    Museum of History in Concord.

    Or, you can put it on one one of the many ship wrecks in Far Harbor.

    Give a special variant to Clint, call it Clint's Flint.

    Maybe have it drop in the treasure room of Jamaican Planes.

    Or have it as a sunken treasure quest; a lot of unused areas in the sea.

      Ok not gonna lie, Clint's Flint sounds crazy...... But just crazy enough to work :P
      Will have to think of the special effect for it to have for a former minuteman.... Maybe a patriotic projectile, or something more explosive.

      Will consider them all :D

      I like the sunken treasure idea. not a lot to do in the ocean considering it's like 1/4 of the map.

    You could leave the gun in the captains quarters inside of the USS Constitution.
