When Dog first shared an (earlier) example of this I said "woah". Now I'm just excited and rubbing my hands together until the time we can get this, and more of his professional level stuff, in game. The whole project is pretty darned exciting and he's making it look goooood!

Personally, I hated the bulky look and I'm glad it's gone.

And the bulky look makes sense considering the circumstances. A little 140 pound dude aint gonna survive long in the wasteland.

Foedawg wrote: Did you guys skip out on his images he posted of Ranger armor that goes on top of this armor? Look at his other pics lol
    There's your bulk.

    wolfrevan5555 wrote: @EdwardSN

It's a post apocalyptic environment. Not a gym. You aren't getting a great diet, you're getting whatever little junk you can shovel into your face, and you'd probably be more worried about surviving then working on your biceps/abs.

Given those circumstances, I'd say the majority would be skinny with muscular legs / good cardio, some would be potbellied and others would be fat (The rich ones). So yes, I think a little 140 pound dude is gonna survive a pretty long time.

(Also, not trying to come off as an a**hole. Just REALLY not big on bulky armor at all. I wouldn't mind if it scaled with the body to look bulky, but if the creator just made it permanently "Bulky" I'd be a bit disappointed.)

Vicalliose wrote: I'm not big on bulky either, and if we're to go by the old CG trailers (in-game model was terrible imo) the coat is lightweight enough to flutter like a flag in the wind, so it's probably a good bit lighter than my father's cowboy dusters.

Actually, correct me if I'm wrong but I think DogToothCG was playing a scrawny character anyway.

@wolfrevan5555 We are talking about NCR rangers here not random wastelanders and raiders. And you can get big without a gym, the gym is mostly to tone that "bigness" into finely sculpted muscle.

Could you elaborate on what exactly is not "bulky" enough? When placed side-by-side with the NV ranger, they are almost identical in bulk; major differences only really being noticeable in the flare of the coat, and angle of the collar. Unless your referencing how skinny the NV model actually is around the joints.

yeah seriously, if anything the new one is bulkier, (or at least feels more solid, probably because of the higher poly/texture quality and realistic cloth) you just have more freedom in choosing the build of the character wearing it. It'd be cool to see how it looks at all 3 extremes of the triangle male/female, but i'm patient to wait for release.

People talk about the physics for the drifter outfit (too short) or the silver shroud outfit (closed up), but what about the Leather Coat? I never hear it so much as mentioned.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Leather_coat Aside from there being no split in the middle back it looks like it would work perfectly, the right length (give or take), open at the front, and even a slight bit flared at the bottom, there's a hooded version (in picture) as well as one with a backpack I recall.

My stop gap Ranger armour I've been using since before I even saw this mod wip, using a vanilla non hooded Leather Coat. armoursmith extended to put shadowed combat armour, gas mask with goggles and an army helmet over top of it. Can't wait to replace all that with the real thing.

The conversation seems to have devolved into wasteland fitness, so it literally didn't have anything to do with the coat to begin with I guess... Body scaling didn't exist in New Vegas so everyone was frigging ripped.

Its fine, the only difference is this one doesn't flare out so much so it feels closer to the body. I never understood why the bottom of the duster just kind of floats in NV...

The NCR Ranger Duster not being bulky is a good thing, NV had this weird tail flare or something I own a duster they don't flare at the bottom. NV Physics in work. Anyways just epic work I do wonder though what variants will be available, assuming you're proficient with texture working can we be hopeful of other designs like the Desert Ranger, Elite, and maybe a winterized version.

This is just gold, I can only imagine this with Fallout 4's clothing physics oh god...

The G.E.C.K. could arive "Early" 2016 which could mean april or may.. (Or it maybe it could be an actual early 2016)

Either way can you make it replace one of the unused clothing (Check out fallout 4 unused clothing) Or just add a new item craft-able at a chemistry station.

    Pretty please? ;3

After the geck comes out that's the answer and will always be the answer. Unoctium's team don't like releasing half baked mods, even if all the need is the icing on the cake.
