Thanks. I'm using a couple of mods here. A replacer for some of the NPCs (and some of my own tweaks) and Athena 4.0 .
Scara and Duff are an interesting pair just to listen to their conversation. Dr. Duff will give you a small quest and Professor (her first name, not her title) Scara can actually be a part of the main quest in certain circumstances.
Have you been to the Science! Center in Diamond City? It's a part of the vanilla game. It is between first base and second base. If you have trouble finding it -

The bases are part of the baseball analogy. If you don't know about American baseball: The baseball field is also known as a baseball diamond (hence, Diamond City) because of its shape - a square tilted to stand on one of its points (90 degree angles). That point is known as home plate and the other points in counterclockwise order are first, second and third bases. Sometimes a Diamond City Security guard will tell you to "run the bases" - i.e., touch each base in sequence - first, second, third, home. If you do this AND you don't have any mods loaded (hah!) you can get a Steam achievement for Fallout 4.
Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation. I'm still playing quite the Vanilla-game, because I have not all discoverd and I'm still curious about all quests and persons. Forvthis reason, I don't use replacers or game changing mods.
About baseball I have absolutely no idea and so I never would have recognized this analogy Thanks a lot. Now, I will take care forvthis in future, when I will visit DC the next time
Your stretching your character creation wings a bit from the looks of it? Or maybe just getting some time to introduce some into your game. I'm with RT....I was ready to play doctor....until the dissection lesson began
Athena 4.0 is fun companion mod. (She does take up the normal companion slot, though.) The Science! lab in Diamond City, occupied by Scara and Duff, is where she can be found. Athena is a robot, but it's probably wiser not to tinker with her software (or hardware, for that matter ... )
Dr. Duff: Great!! Today we are vivisecting a stingwing and I need someone to hold the tail. Professor Scara: And after that, dear Duff, I can assist with the barb removal - wherever it may be. Athena 4.0: Did you bring your "spanner"?
