   I always play on survival mode, though I use a mod to make it more akin to Fallout New Vegas' survival mode.

      I never played New Vegas, so for the beginning I just take a peek where this survival mode drags me to. My biggest concern is the automatic save system, as it already was buggy in the past.

   Depends how tough you want life to be, but Bethesda Survival mode can be a bit.....all grind and no reward, it can just be tedious managing inventory when survival has no real risks.......there are plenty of Overhauls that do a better job, or that turn Bethesda survival difficulty into a real game.
   Fallout 4 Loot Overhaul, and something like Food Doesn't Heal......make a heck of a difference for little game mechanic changes.......all the way up to FROST, which is really 'Fallout 4.5'.

      Let me try out the vanilla mode first, than I'll see if I want it even harder.
