About this image

I finally managed to get Oni face texture to work for me; and I fixed the brown face bug; apparently, it was caused by the absence of several sub-folders in the Characters folder, or maybe the format of the textures inside these folders wasn't corresponding, either way, I replaced every texture file by Oni's in these sub-folders and it works.

I still have to find a way to make the various face paints and details from Looks Menu Compendium work with it, with luck, it's just a matter of size of the textures.

Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the bug for male characters and I couldn't find any solution.

I've been using the ESP version of the brown face bug fix, seems like it prefers being low in the load order for it to work... I'm really not sure tho, people seem to have different results...

From what I've read, there are a few causes of the black face bug. I read that Beth's HD DLC is one cause. I have seen it occur in my characters when "texture" overload occurs. At least that's what I call it. After playing several hours and travelling to some highly textured areas or just busy areas, suddenly their faces turn brown. That problem is solved with a restart. Also, I use "Contruct a Custom Companion" to add followers. On occasion I have seen face texture issues, not just dark face, happening to those followers. Re-installing the mod takes care of that issue. There are a couple of mods that claim to fix the problem the dark face problem. I'm not so sure about their effectiveness.

Anyway, it's good that you fixed the problem with Oni's face texture.

Yeah, I've read about the HD DLC, except I don't use it. Sometimes, the bug occurs upon reloading a save, I use looks menu to reload my preset and it's done, not a big deal.
For the mods who say they fix the bug, I have tried almost everyone of them, they don't don't work.

Like I said to JMOF8, I spent the previous days testing body and face textures, especially the face textures, I have redone all my BA2 archives for my textures so I can separate the body/face textures from the rest and activate them with a simple click, and I added those I could try and validate in the list; I still have tries to do on Oni's textures, notably with the compatibility with the Compendium face paints, I hope it's just a matter of texture size.

Beaut , for male you revert back to vanilla then go from there. always keep a backup of your files then you can instantly replace it manually . i have a backup of the characters files just in case.

Oh that's only that? I've removed all my textures files and nothing worked ! I'll go and check that, thanks ! And yeah, I actually spent the few previous days trying different faces and body textures and getting frustrated working to make them work, then securing them after.
