I have actually looked at both Franchi LF-57 and Berreta PM-12 as options, but in the end I've settled on the idea that the Triggerman headed by Carboni (the new boss) would be using non-Italian weapons, to show symbolically that these guys are straight up traitors to the neighborhood. North End will be fighting back with Italian weaponry, on the other hand. This is going to be a war between North End and Triggerman.
Skinny Malone was a protector/king to the neighborhood, but after he got taken out by certain someone, Carboni starts to rule North End with very different terms. I want this to be a consequence of what happened at Vault 114, and a chance to learn more about Malone retrospectively.
...Those are my ideas at the moment. I hope all this will work out as well as I am thinking. :-)
The .223 (which is american unit for 5.56x45) is very similiar to a classic SIG Sauer assault rifle form factor (since Beretta actually worked with SIG to create the SIG 530), and the 90 is basically an upgrade made in the late 80s, so this can be the base of a modular weapon!
There's a mod here on the nexus, quite well made but it's 2 years old and doesn't have leveled lists, think about it!
This rifle FA-556 (imaginary gun) is basically a combination of Armalite AR-100 concept, Beretta AR-70/90, and Armalite AR-18, but I've made it look like it was made for an 80s movie. The iron sight is from SIG SG550 :
Would this do? :-)

You could take a look again at mine and that one more closely, and hopefully you'd see some differences. Thanks for stopping by. :-)
I was not aware that there already was an MPL for Fallout 4. :-/ I would have to check out that mod. Thank you so much for your offer! :-)
I've always liked how Bethesda did town locations and factions in their past games, and I think Fallout 4 needed more of that type of contents. North End project would not be as big as the DLC sized projects, but hopefully expanding stories in Boston will add more fun to the game. :-)
I think Triggerman lore is an interesting one to expand on, being a local faction. I still have lots of work ahead, but hopefully it will turn out good. :-)
