Due to the many hazards in the wasteland it was inevitable to investigate them in detail and hopefully find new means of protection against them. Therefor, the red section conducts research on the various animals and creatures of the post-apocalyptic world. They do not only concentrate on anatomy or the potential level of threat, but also on toxins and antidotes. Some believe, those scientist are also experimenting with the possibilities of weaponized toxins, though there is no evidence for such insinuations.
