Before the war, Sunshine Tidings used to be a hive for Hippies, Lefties, Outcasts and alternative people of all sorts. While the fate of it's original inhabitants remains unrevealed, the Farm proved to be useful in during the foundation of the New Commonwealth. In it's first two years or so, it showed only liitle success as a settlement. Meanwhile, after the liberation of Nuka World during Operation Nofretete, more settlers were attracted to Sunshine Tidings. It became the NCW's "gate to the west". It became a major supplier for grain. Currently the CBIT evaluates the possibility of creating an industrial scaled water purifier at the nearby reservoir.
