About this image
I have made some "good" German soldiers uniforms before. However, if there are good German, there are also "bad" German.
This is a modified version of a resource I made a long time ago as a bonus or joke for Communist Army's outfit. It was originally intended to be added to the mod as a "West German skin" or "OPFOR skin" or something like that. However, I thought it didn't fit the mod's taste. So it's been sitting in a corner of my HDD for a while now.
It is still unfinished, so I may or may not release it eventually.

Good German, bad German......What?
Are there good Japanese and bad Japanese too, pertaining to uniforms of course?
Good German, bad German, that is super offensive, you know that? At least to me.
Anyway, who wants a Bundesgrenzschutz uniform of the Federal Republic of Germany in Fallout?
I also don't think there is a vigorous debate about the necessity in Fallout of women's costumes that show a lot of skin. However, it is loved and accepted by many users. Only about West German military uniforms is it necessary to discuss it?
It's about labeling people that's offensive, which, just reading what you wrote, you did.
On a side note to PavloSudoplatov,
Wessies, Ossies, BRD.......nope, and who cares about politicians, it's the people who count and who should show respect or maybe even
solidarity towards each other, that's how the people win.
So don't put a label on people, not even in your own country, it's inappropriate at best.
Like there are good Mexicans and bad Mexicans......heard that before.
There are good Russians and bad Russians.....what?
There are good Kenyans and bad Kenyans......uh huh.
There are good El Salvadorans and bad El Salvadorans......you can do this for every country and ethnic population on the planet.
I hope you get the point, I don't mean to be rude, just think about your rhetoric when you write something.
If so, why did you need to say "Yeah, don't release it" and "Anyway, who wants a Bundesgrenzschutz uniform of the Federal Republic of Germany in Fallout"?
You are unfairly magnifying my words. "Bad" German can only mean that it is OPFOR or enemy forces. I clearly wrote that I made a communist theme mod earlier and that this texture was initially made as OPFOR or enemy in it. I didn't say anything else. OPFOR refers to a unit that plays the enemy in an exercise, i.e. the "bad" guy role. Or did you think that I am really a hardcore communist and believe that West German is a "bad" German? (Was it the Brits who invented Scare quotes, or the Americans?)
I apologize if you found it offensive, but basically your personal feelings do not support the accuracy of your words. You told me I was being super offensive. But I didn't say that someone shouldn't do something, and I didn't say that a mod that someone took the time to create was unnecessary. When I call someone a "bad" from a communist point of view that is clearly not serious, it does not in any way forbid someone from doing something. However, "Yeah, don't release it" can be a denial of someone's rights, and "who wants a..." can be a smear against someone's creation.
You may also be clearly offensive and hurtful to someone else. You should understand your own words before you try to make me understand yours. Your words are serious enough. Even if I have done something wrong, it is not a reason for you to attack and ostracize me.
I do admit some of my words were written in anger, I do apologize for that.
@PavloSudoplatov
I understood you perfectly fine.
The point I was trying to make is, no labels for people.
And of course we are one people.
The thing with politicians or people in power (don't need to be a politician to be incredibly influential and powerful) is, that we common folks
outnumber them and when they see common people organize and unite they get nervous.
It is a usual thing for people in power to divide the people and pit one group against the other so we fight each other instead of uniting for
the interests of everybody.
It is very prevalent here in the US, the division they sowed and part of that is stereotyping and labeling people.
And yes my friend , es ist das "Alte Stadtwappen der Stadt Braunschweig", I like it better than the new version.
I remember that one day when the city was full of Trabanten all of a sudden and I mean everywhere, it was unreal.
Now it's time to wait for the Japanese genosse to do another great job, since he's definitely not our enemy.
Keep up the good work!
i could consider myself as one of the groups adressed by the terms "good german / bad german" - for i'm german and old enough to count as a contemporary witness. Nevertheless: I DON'T CARE about such terms, in particular because you used the terms in an abstract way to explain what your intention for creating the uniform was.
I would like to encourage you to release it, as soon as you think it's finished. As you replied before: it is about appreciation and admiration! If one would only decide by necessity, there would also be no need to release "nazi-mods" for F4!
Regarding to technical stuff shown on the image: i would suggest to change the colour a little bit to darker-green. By now, it seems more olive then mood green.

Simultaneously, I'm kind of in agreement with the other poster here. It boils down to. It's Fallout, and who is really looking for this there?
The art is good though, and I'd never tell someone to just not release something. If you're proud of the work, share it. If not, no worries. Thanks for showing us.
Mods are not a business, so I don't make them because someone needs them. If have an idea and have the time, make it anyway. Not every mod in this nexus is allowed to exist only because someone asks for it. There's nothing wrong if release it and no one downloads. It's definitely Fallout, but that doesn't mean that only the mods that are necessary for Fallout are being made. Are some joke mods, Nicolas Cage, and women's outfits that show skin more appropriate for Fallout than West German military uniforms? Or should they not have been made? I don't think so.
In any case, this is an unfinished product. I haven't decided how to handle it at all.
