Tasked with protecting the Boston State Prison are the members of the S.W.A.T./FBI-HRT like "Boston State Ranger". Those highly trained policemen and women can also conduct missions to seize and transport felons or rescue hostages in otherwise relatively safe areas. For their missions they have access to armoured vehicles. As with most public services, there is a shortage of qualified personell.
