Hello. May I ask how you got the Power Armor into your game, please? It’s the closest thing I found for allowing people to play as Frank Horrigan. Got my own Super Mutant build, might make it into Enclave troop. If you can’t tell how you got it, I completely understand
It's a port from 76 so you need either porting skills or someone who knows how to, I know of a porter who makes her ports available to anyone who supports her on Kofi
Ah fallout 1 and 2, back before all the vaults were decided to be some kind of giant lab experiment and the lore changed to where they decided that Vault Tec started the war.
I would love to see fallout 1 and 2 done in the fallout 4 engine... Great picture ! I wonder if the intellectual property of fallout has changed hands too many times, to many groups and individuals, to many chefs or hands in the cookie jar.
Vault Tec starting the war is a legitimate theory with a decent amount of supporting evidence. For example, the bomb dropped on Megaton has a Vault Tec logo on it. Vault Tec was not a company which had any legitimate reason to own nuclear weapons, much less nuclear weapons in the kiloton or maybe even megaton range. Ergo, this nuke was a part of a secret project with a very nefarious purpose. Let's also not forget that Vault Tec was a puppet of the Enclave, meaning that by extension the bomb dropped on Megaton was owned by the Enclave.
There's also a theory that P.A.M. had something to do with the nukes launching and another theory that the US's use of Fat Man nukes triggered a response at the strategic nuclear level by China.
The fact is, Black Isle and Bethesda have intentionally kept the origin of the Great War vague, and you certainly can't definitively state that Vault Tec did not start the war.
Since Horrigan used a modified set of Advanced Power Armor MK.I, and the X-01 is considered a different set of armor entirely, does that make this the actual new-artstyle version of the APA MK.I? If so, this is a really cool design.
Judging from the history of FO76's released Power Armor models and skins, I doubt the artists have thought that deeply about integrating lore from 1998.
Police Prowler 'ED-209' Power Armor? Vertibird 'propeller' Power Armor? Commisioner Chaos 'holographic' Power Armor? M.I.N.D. 'dolphin/human hybrid' Power Armor? It seems more to be a case of cool looks win the day for the MMO aspect of current Fallout. There are sprinklings of great design and nods to old fans of the series though, such as the Gauss pistol resembling the PPK12.
Head canon is of course the way to go with these things however, so believe what you choose and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I mean... yeah. There are Power Armors that are stylistically supposed to be absolutely out-of-cannon gameplay scheisse. But the Excavator, T-65, and even Hellcat (to an extent) all fit into the pre-existing lore without breaking much more than Fo4 did. In fact, the stats of the armors in FO76 are even more lore-accurate to what they would be in real life compared to the linear progression in FO4.
But that's just me writing the script for Bethesda, at the end of the day. Since the X-01 is somewhat-officially not the APA MK1, I just like to think that this is the new artstyle's equivalent.
I was absolutely onboard with Bethesda introducing EX-17, a non-military civilian Power Armor (looks-wise my favourite overall), T-65 began pushing it... A government prototype that only exists in blueprint form, hoarded by the leftovers of the Secret Service. It looks fantastic, but the hugely curved design doesn't sit well in the aesthetic progression of other armor's. Christopher Ortega is a great artist, but clearly has his own design philosophy.
Hellcat, as much you want to fudge it into lore just looks to me like Warhammer. But, you're right, artsyle equivalent is all in the eye of the beholder.

The vaults exeperiments come from Fallout 2, and Vault Tec didn't start the war at all...
