I love images (and books and films) which are made to be poems rather than simply aesthetic. Your image is beautiful in the classic sense, with masterful framing and composition, shadows and color, but its true beauty is in its open ended and layered possibilities. Are the children dreaming of the synthetic man, or is the synthetic man dreaming of the children? Is humanity dreaming of a way to escape death, or is DIMA contemplating the true nature of reality and life and its end?
I could guess your thought when you made it, helengaius, but I love that you made something which easily transcends any intent you may have had. And that's the best kind of poetry, one in which each viewer, reader or listener hears their own poem influenced by their own experiences.
I do think you feel the same way about poetry and open ended meaning based on the fact you avoided a concrete title (D for Dreams, D for Death, D for DiMA, D for Pea Soup). You even avoided making a comment in the caption. You want this image to be a poem, and you've achieved it beautifully and delightfully.
Thank you so much for sharing your work, Helengaius :) I mean it :)
Thank you very much for those nice words, i'm really sorry to be not good enough in english to express how much it means to me that people consider some of my screens like D or the dreamer as great picture who make them dream/explore thought !
Awesome, love the copper/orange and teal colors. You're turning out some of the most unique and creative screenshots I've seen in a long time. Would love to have this one and your "Fate" series as wall-art, in game or in r/l. Like Drywashcanyon said, don't know how you're doing them, but really enjoy seeing them.
Super duper. Quite imaginative and creative. It's so refreshing to see your work. I am so tired of seeing thousands of ridiculously large chested women with hind ends to match, and then with a 24" waist. Oh yeah, and then tilted at an angle that makes my neck hurt. Anyway, your posts are much appreciated by this one.
