   Lot of signs. I remember hearing about Hobo signs. Now we have taggers, and I guess those signs have some meaning.

      So I tucked my hair up under my hat
      And went in to ask him why

      In Europe, when I was young, I recall
      seeing Gypsy symbols. 
      Symbols were used by the thief guild in
      Skyrim.  Now we have The Railroad using
      them.  
      I am sure the game makers got their ideas
      from the originators
