I'm delighted to share with you another development image showcasing up and coming mod Weathers and Wonders. Rainbows will be just one of the many new features coming to Fallout 4. See you soon.
Looking great, only getting more and more excited for this.
It's hard to gauge from the creation kit shots but how are you approaching god rays? Personal preference but I feel like vanilla and a lot of weather mods go way too heavy on them and it washes everything out. Will this be more in line with the base game or something like NAC-X that really tones them down?
I completely agree with your view on godrays. I've based a lot of my decision making for weather and lighting on how Rockstar Games handled the weather and lighting in Red Dead Redemption 2. Godrays are only really applicable at sunrise and sunset to enhance the simulation of dense particles in the air, like mist for example. The only other time I've used godrays are for misty night weathers that have strong moonlight.
So I've used godrays sparingly so as not to dilute the beauty of when you actually see them.
Aw man, you're killing me with this lol. RDR2 is one of my favorite environments ever - from the weather and lighting, the biodiversity, ambience, all of it. Love that it was such an inspiration for this.
Totally agreed, godrays can offer genuinely striking and beautiful visuals...but only when there's *some* kind of restraint used. It got to the point where I flat out hated them because of how they're used as a weird crutch in most lighting setups. They should inspire awe, not be the equivalent of smearing vaseline on a lens.

Already had your weather mod for Skyrim almost 11 years ago but not the update.
