Just wanted to show the difference between the vanilla vertibirds and the classic vertibirds mod. Honestly, I have no idea why bethesda chose to change them. They look sooo awkward. The classic vertibird doesn't even look out of place. Also all the technology in Fallout 4, with the exception of the institute, seems so old compared to previous games. Idk why they chose to go backwards with Fallout 4 but it just pales in comparison. Classic Vertibirds is a cool mod that's lore friendly and has only shown minor bugs if any, highly recommend.

    I still prefer F2's vertibirds than F3 or F4.

      I feel like f2's looks like a midpoint between f3/NV's vertibird and fallout 4's. That being said it's a stronger design than f4's to be sure.

      Content from Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas are just better in lore and design. What fallout 4 succeeded was the gameplay yet there is a positive and a negative. Positive being better combat, but the negative is heavily retconning certain aspects of the lore to fit the gameplay.

      both Vertibird models exist together in canon.  the fallout 4 version is the VB-01 Vertibird used by the standard army for decades, while the Enclave model is the newer VB-02 model used by the shadowy government agencies that became the enclave and some advanced military spec ops units.
