The bottom row all look more consistent with the fallout 4 vibe. Although the middle one looks like a storm trooper.
Edit: On the subject of AI, who cares? It's just another tool. The idea originates with the author, the AI simply tries to visually interpret what they want. If the use of AI reduces the development time for games and mods, then I'm all for it.
AI also agrees with bigger shoulders lmao. Am i just a bot? Also Pigs argument on AI is weird. You're using AI as a think tank, not an invention. It would be the same thing as going to anyone else's work and looking at their s#*! to make something of your own. People take AI to the extremes too fucking much man. Not everything is good or bad, everything contains multitudes.
this is a significant simplification of work, I don’t have to spend hours inventing something and looking for inspiration, I just need to write what I need and AI will give me a bunch of variations
it's like people forgot what the word Concept is shrugs. tbh I'm fine with people using an ai to make Concepts of prototypes and for inspiration on where to start or go from. cause sometimes seeing the thing in front of you helps for getting a general idea.
Have you looked at Newermind's profile? At the sheer number of PAs they've made? How is using AI any different than, say, discussing the idea with an artist friend who draws up an example of what they're suggesting?
He can obviously do what he wants, I'm just saying that considering what using AI entails and the consequence of its widespread use, would inevitably hurt artists, and even creators like Newermind himself.
Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses, or preferences when it comes to creation. Some people prefer to focus on what they like to do. Mod creation is no different and there are a lot of aspects to creating a fully functional mod. And not everyone has a full team of people to work on every aspect of a creation. I don't see anything wrong with using AI to fill in those gaps. If anything, it will inspire and encourage more people to be creators themselves.
Ok, then. Now, could you two please explain to me how mod authors were able to come up with unique designs before AI became as usable as it is now? Like, sketching might be important sure, but if you're talented enough, like newermind obviously is, I really don't see why you need to rely on AI, especially considering how divisive its use is right now. Again, he can do what it wants, but don't come up to me with some copout excuses like "not everyone can afford an artist" or, worst yet, "not everyone has a full team of people to work on every aspect of a creation" (It's a power armor mod, made by one of the best looking power armor mod authors on Nexus, we're not talking about a whole ah- game, tf are you on about?)
OK, come up with a completely original power armor and draw it. Like he's clearly just using AI for inspiration for an original Power Armor design, what's so bad about that?
There's a difference between relying on AI and using it for inspiration. All artists have some sort of inspiration from something they've experienced, seen, read, felt, eaten...etc. If someone creates a Power Armor that looks like a Train, you don't see people complaining that he doesn't have the right to make it look like a train without the person who created the Train's permission, do you? If that were the case, Nexus wouldn't exist.
I think these are all great. Definitely a good way to create a jump off point for original ideas, and save you tons of time in the preproduction phase. Something to get you started, something you can refine and make your own. If I had to choose just one though, I'd say number 4 definitely as close to vanilla yet still new and original.

Plus, there's a wealth of F76 PA that are begging for a F4 equivalent.

Like, AI should be the absolute last thing you resort to.

I think the idea of 'power armor' needs to be restarted. I would start with a human body and then think about how to armor it.
Or work on 'muscling" that body then armoring that.
