I'm still considering turning the entire bat into Deathclaw Material (currently learning to rewrap UVs for proper seamless textures while using the original materials).
To answer your question: Most variants are just slightly better than the other attachments. Bleed effect, faster swing, less ap drain, armor piercing.
The glowing spikes deal radiation damage on top of that.
My Poisonous and Infected variants will add poison and infection bonuses. The Glowing versions of these add rad damage to that.
I might make a radyceps version covered in shrooms with rad spore explosion impacts that leave a temporary rad hazard, on top of other unique variant damages.
The Atomic versions will deal their unique explosions.
Atomic Radyceps will deal their unique explosions.
The Death Grip just increases swing speed and reduce AP a bit.
