Been working on this lately. Had to make some edits to the model to fit the animations. Textures are still going to be improved (it will also look tons better in game because of the way nifskope renders spec maps).
So, you've adjusted the gun to fit the SMG animations? You should try to texture Leo2Link's BAR model, maybe the MG42 once it gets released. Try to lighten the steel textures to help them fit the reflectiveness of the vanilla gun.
I could give a try at texturing other guns. It will have to be later though, too many projects already The charging handle on the real StG44 goes all the way back when you fire it. But it's not possible with the SMG animations. There also wasn't anything behind it in the model, so it would look horrible when you fire, so I've made an amateur edit to fix it. It's unfortunate the way the vanilla animations limits modding so much...
