I am totally enjoying Fallout 4, but I have to say that I am really disappointed in the character models and some of the textures, in this case the underwear, both male and female. I saw that there were already mods available for Fallout 4, much to my amazement. One caught my eye, it was 'Improved Male Chest' by 'hereandback27'. I downloaded it and took a look and much to my surprise, a body texture. This mod was very well done by the way and my thanks to 'hereandback27' for extracting the texture as I still don't know how that works just yet. Anyway, since I do a lot of work in ..umm..a virtual world...I am quite familiar with what we call 'texture clothing'. That is...painting a clothing texture onto a skin texture. I used my skills to re texture the male underwear into some kind of shorts and this is the first round of trials. I gave them a worn and tattered look, well worn and made a normals map to help the details pop out. Still in the rough, but I'd thought I'd see what some of you folks think, suggestions...what ever.
