StG44 WIP 3 - Scopes and frustration

Been working on remodeling the ZF4 scope mount to fit the vanilla hunting rifle scope. There's also a normal ZF4 scope that still needs some work, intended to be the short scope version.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news though. I've done some testing ingame, but ran into some problems that I have no idea why they're happening. But most of all, the villain of all FO4 weapon mods: animations. The StG44 just don't fit the animations very well. I'd have to either make it tiny or have it floating (like the mp5 on the modern firearms mod). Or have some kind of ugly block under the handguard like some other weapon mods. It's frustrating to say the least when you put so much work and time into this and when it's almost ready you have to abandon it, but I'm afraid that's what I'm going to have to do. I really thought I would be able to get around this but it seems I was wrong.

If you have any ideas on how to save the mod, feel free to say so. Otherwise I think that for the time being this mod is on hold until there's a way to edit animations :/

And meanwhile Bethesda shows stuff that we just can't do in the CK trailer. Thanks Bethesda -_-

    I have to ask if you considered using the Animations from the Radiant Rifle from Far Harbor, it uses Animations that are NOT those used in the Submachine Gun.

      The problem is that it doesn't have a pistol grip.

      Yeah, I've seen many people suggesting mod authors to use the radiant rifle anims because of the better reload (the reload actually doesn't bother me that much), but the reason everything uses submachine gun anims is because it's still the only one with a pistol grip. So unless Bethesda makes a new weapon with a pistol grip in the future DLCs or someone figures out a way to edit animations, I guess we will be stuck with using smg animations for 90% of the weapons forever. Which I doubt they will since there will be 2 more shitty glorified mods aka wasteland workshop DLC part 2 and 3, and the Nuka World DLC doesn't sound very promissing for new regular weapons.

      That, or they finally tell us how to do the s#*! they showed in the CK trailer... -_-

      Can you still offer the mod as a WIP version?
      Floating guns don't bother me as long as they are a STG.
      And i'm pretty sure there's a lot of folks who feel the same.

    I take it you'd have to shrink it to make it fit the smg anims right? Cool with me, I just want an STG bro. It's not like it'll be perfect thanks to how Bethesda does their animation framework, but I'd say it's good enough as is.
