About this image

Wanting to use a custom texture on a separate vault suit I got carried away and came up with this. Essentially when I'm done it'll be a way to apply different textures to the game's vault suits while keeping everyone else's suits as-is. It works by applying a material swap (Similar to how paint on Power Armor works, just without the requirements or any "buffs".) to the suit. Due to how Bethesda set up the vault suit materials this means you can mix the base color of the suit, the color of the trim, and the vault number on the back or completely omit the number. It'll work on pretty much any vault suit found in the game so you can hoard a bunch of the suits from Vault 114 and customize them to make your own "vault settlement" with the right mods.

I'm making it interchangable too so following the directions you can use any texture replacer for the vault suits making them a standalone just by renaming the texture files. This will work for both male and female characters. I've also added a "modified vault suit" that can be used for custom meshes. Basically the ease of turning any vault suit replacer out there into a standalone for your own use. For the curious I'm not sure if this will be making its way onto Bethesda.net (Unless someone decides to pirate it, then I will probably pull the mod down completely.) due to the likelihood of using borrowed assets for the textures. I'm not very good with retextures myself so if I acquire permissions for it I may upload ready-to-use texture packs for the mod. If not then just instructions with links for good texture suggestions.
