About this image
Inspired by a Skyrim/Fallout 4 crossover sketch (might've forgot the author's name) and decided to turn it into a full power armor mod. Been working on it for a bit now and have more or less finished the high-poly model.
Feedback is welcomed as always.
The plan is to make this armor complement survival mode, camping and harsh weather mods. I'm thinking of replacing the jetpack modification with a backpack...
Not finalised a name for it yet, but ideas I have are Barbarian Power Armor, TES-51 and Survivalist Power Armor. If you have a better idea, let me know!
Also planning for that outer ring around the neck to be a fur collar, and for it to have Nordic runes reminiscent of the Steel armor from Skyrim.
Special thanks to DogToothCG for giving me his render settings, to make this WIP shot so much nicer!

Here some feedbacks, use whatever you like
Some work on the Horns:
Instead a cosmetic horn, they could be the standard tubes (like those in the 'breather' ) that start Larger and become tiny (and eventually multiple) attaching on the breather.
So they could seem a 'Normal' power armor, but remind the skyrim's helmet if you already know the helmet itself (or when seen from a specific angle) OR simply be the standard tubes, but broken exactly on that point (and so remember the Skyrim horn helmet).
Also placed a bit more up could improve the feeling of 'horns'.
It's a shame that there isn't already an grapple hook mod, it will fit nicely on that, instead of the jetpack.
If I've understood right, you want to make a Survivor Power armor.
So something that get weared for long period of time, should consume the less power possible and allow to carry more weight.
So: Pockets, backpacks, scarfs (to be less visible), the pelt of an animal (like a radstag), bullets magazines.
About other elements:
I suggest something similar of the decoration of the Skyrim steelplate on the shoulders (but this, as you know, it's about textures)
and maybe a 'Loincloth' like that in the Skyrim studded leather armor or an extra piece of metal on the side (like the metal stud in the left side of the studded leather armor)
Thinking about the 'background' of the armor:
-Could be something related to anchorage (like almost 70% of things ) Some sort of 'commemorative armor' or a crazy plan of battle where the US powerarmor were dressed like Vikings.
-A powerarmor/mascotte of a rugby squad (the Vikings) used by the army to increase the volunteers for the enlist, like a surreptitious advertising.
Anyway good work, I'm eager to see that finished
We'll just have to see I guess. Great work though Edible.
His looks to be very different from mine though, and the more the merrier!
I don't want to be the cause of him stopping production on that power armor.
Anyway, glad you like mine
I like your take on it though. With mine, I'm going for a more salvaged feel with bits and pieces of different creatures acting as different mods you can equip on the armor.
I think it looks a bit chunky in a few places and maybe could a few parts such as the helmet could use a bit of slimming, but it looks great.
