About this image

I eventually stopped posting story details for my character (Which I do want to get back into doing.) but here's a summary... Warning, spoilers for Nuka-World and I suppose Fallout 4's main story though it has been a year after all...

After choosing the Railroad to infiltrate the Institute, Hannah encountered Father discovering that he was the child she had sworn to find only all grown up. It was a difficult choice but Desdemona had given her instructions to infiltrate the Institute. Yet knowing this was Nate's biological child, the son of the man she loved and vowed to find made it difficult. Slowly she succumbed to the idea of serving the Institute instead. A chance at forgetting the above ground, forgetting the harsh life and living in peace. But she also made a promise to the Railroad to free the Synths. Eventually the decision became clear.

During the battle of Bunker Hill she purposely let the Synths free. It would be the last thing she did for the Railroad, before joining Shaun in saving humanity underground. As she met him on the rooftop of the old C.I.T building Shaun revealed it was him who released her. She was kept frozen in that statis of hell for so long until he released her. Then the most horrific thing was said.

"I released you as an experiment."

Shaun hadn't released her for any other reason beyond he was curious if she'd survive. It was merely an experiment. All the sights she had seen, near death encounters, reunion with the man who killed Nate and tore her family apart before her very eyes, all as an experiment for his sick and twisted curiousity. It was enough to push her over the edge. From there on out Hannah bided her time with the sole intent of destroying the Institute. But first a few loose ends had to be tied up.

When the Brotherhood of Steel breached the Railroad's base Glory paid with her life trying to protect them all. And using Glory's own weapon Hannah got much needed revenge against the Brotherhood for both her fallen friend and the lives the Brotherhood of Steel took. As the Vertibird they stole to sneak aboard the Prydwen flew away she stood on the shores across from the airport gazing at the smoldering wreckage. The Institute was next.

The Railroad's plan went into effect and leading the group Hannah stormed through with Desdemona and Tinker Tom in tow. Meeting with Shaun once more Hannah learned that he knew, Shaun knew all along that she wasn't his biological mother. In truth, he wanted to give her a benefit of a doubt in trying to see why his father chose this woman. Shaun's real mother, Nora, had died giving birth. Yet this woman had stepped into the role and Nate accepted it. Why? What was the reason? However none of it mattered at this point, she had betrayed them both.

"Hannah," Shaun spoke bitterly from his bed. "You don't deserve my father, you never deserved to be part of my family. Never."

At that moment it felt like her heart had been shattered, hearing those words. Sadly, she smiled at him. "I know," she said softly, gazing at the wedding band she had worn ever since she stepped into their lives after Nora's passing. "I never was worthy of him. But neither were you."

Hannah raised her rifle at Shaun's head, the old man's eyes going wide. "Good-bye Shaun, see you in hell."

After the Institute was destroyed Hannah's mission was complete. All that was left is to return to HQ and tell Desdemona she was quitting.

"Read this, and destroy it." Desdemona said, handing her a slip of paper.

Patriot their inside connection hadn't made it out alive. Rather, he had committed suicide. And it was all their fault, it was her fault. It was more than she could bare. Ever since being released she had endured such hell and seen so much death. Every action even if for the greater good brought nothing but pain and trouble. The world was horrible, it was shit. But there was one last mission to take care of before she said her goodbye.

Out in Nuka-World a Courser had been spotted and deemed a threat by P.A.M. and with the mysterious relay from the park now playing she may as well take a look. Upon learning that a wounded man's family was in danger from some Raiders Hannah boarded the train at the center bound for Nuka-World. Only it wasn't as it seems. She had been betrayed and now had to run a "gauntlet" for her freedom.

"That's it, I'm done helping people!" She exclaimed angrily to an intercom on the wall.

The man on the other end had informed her the family she was sent here to save was a ruse and that the helpless victim was one of their own meant to lure in poor saps like herself. And this man had a use for her in his own plan to wipe out their current boss. With Colter's defeat by a mere water pistol Hannah was thrust into the position of Overboss to a bunch of Raiders. Since then, she had embraced the lifestyle. She had started her old life out as a thief, and trying to play by the rules and being good had brought her nothing but pain, suffering, and the plaything of twisted minds. She was now a Raider, and the Commonwealth would either pay or bend knee to her will.

But what lies in store for the future? A long time back before leaving to Nuka-World she was being called to Diamond City by Nick Valentine's secretary...

After finishing up the Nuka-World DLC I plan to at last tackle Far Harbor and depending on how events unfold will Hannah give up the life of a Raider and return to helping people? Or is the little island doomed?
