FYI, the fire rate you see in the screenshot is for the semi-auto mode. The new fire rate is 151 (~900 rounds/min). Recoil has also been adjusted to simulate the actual B.A.R.S. system in the AK-107/108. I'm also releasing a new mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21783/?, which changes all the fire rates of automatic weapons in MF. You can use it until the next release.
Also, I made the AK Balanced Automatics Recoil System (B.A.R.S.) barrel for the DEV version of MF. It along with the 5 rib handguard and modern pistol grip I added will be part of the next MF release.

Yes, but this is v2.5 beta 1.2 dev. There're a tons of new features in the upcoming release, like new weapons and animations, revised weapon stats (e.g. fire rate), etc. Hopefully, we can release it soon.

Yes, shotguns and bullpups are being worked on. The rest will follow suit. As for the 'uniform glitches', they are not really glitches (e.g. pink textures). They are placeholders. The BDU is still a work in progress and the armor stats are being readjusted; bone weight and so on.

Thanks so much for asking Chad509 to help us out with the animations. At the moment, we have Wardaddy, a talented animator, who's behind Remington 870 Pump Action Shotgun animations. Since MF has such a huge weapon libraries, redoing all the weapon animations is a time consuming process.

I see. I guess I can try it out the modern firearms version 1.2 beta test dev in gameplay (that is if it is okay to you or not) and I would let you know if there is something need to fix any bugs or not. I have still installed 2.5 beta 1.1 version installed already and would I have to remove it manual before putting a test beta mod to test it out? Before that would happen, is your team even your leader allow to do this or give a permission to ask someone (like me) to hook up with beta 1.2 dev?
Does anyone know of a way to disable the BDUs on MF 2.5 1.1 I really want to use the mod but those distorted missing textures are hurting my eyes. And I'd rather not have to re outfit all of the human enemies I encounter just so they don't look like silent hill abominations.

Tried doing my own personal ports from Arma 3, but apparently 3dsMax hates me.
I've been wanting the same thing since I played around with the M4A1 SOPMOD I and II (check out my other images). It all depends on if there's a free 3D model available for the rail, otherwise we'd have to purchase it. 3dsMax hates me too. I just stick to NifSkope now. lol
I have a open-source low-poly model I could send you of the entire weapon broken into parts...you could most likely pull the rail from it or any other part you guys would want...no textures unfortunately. All I would ask is that you credit the original creator. If you are interested just shoot me a PM
Is there a way to make Modern Firearms a stand alone mod, and not a full replacement? I don't like the super mutants blowing my head off with those strong ass sniper rifles.
Glad you mentioned it. I have a little project that is still in the conceptual stage. It involves turning MF experience into something one would experience playing DayZ, in that I mean making MF weapons more rare and scarce. Thus, making every find/loot more rewarding.
You might not even find a full-auto assault rifle until later on in the game. I'm hoping to slowly ease the player into MF, and not giving Raiders TRG which they'll subsequently camp you with. You'll find semi-auto rifles, civilian version, first before it slowly progresses to the SCARs, FAMAS, etc.
In a nutshell, it's an MF which has a new overhauled spawning system (lvl. list), item placements, etc. Modern Firearms: Survival Edition is the name I have in mind. Please keep in mind that this is still in the conceptual stage, nothing concrete.
PS. We're also looking for someone who's good with FO4 quests to join our team.
I'm so glad I saw this comment! I understand you saying its in the concept stage, but I can't say enough how much I think this is needed! The ONLY reservation I have about MF is that nine times out of ten when I start a new character, I'm insta-gibbed by the raiders in Concord with one of MF sniper rifles. If I knew more about the CK or FO4Edit with scripting I would have attempted this change myself long ago!
Hey Cemology, as you are working with the MF guys and providing new models for the weaponry, are there any new animations for the weapons as of now? Because I think that's what's lacking in MF right now. That and new sounds for the weapons, but I can do that myself.
Hi GarnetSan. First of all, I'm not a 3D artist on the MF team. Having said that, I do a bit of 3D editing but mostly with NifSkope. I deal mostly with the plugin (refer to my mods). Idlesheep is the team leader and the main 3D artist on MF.

That's one of our top priorities. The good news is we now have the talented animator who created the custom animations for the Remington 870 Pump Action Shotgun on our team. That bolt-action animation is just a placeholder. In the meantime, you can try using other semi-auto shotguns.

Yes im using 2.5 beta 1.1. The front iron sight has two strait lines on each side pointing strait up where as the mw3 version has more of a curved outward? If that makes any sense. And an optional mod for more zoom a little closer when ADS would be really cool... By the way thank you for your considering my requests... I hope i dont come off as demanding.... MF is really the only thing that makes FO4 even worth playing for me... I know a lot of people dont like COD.....
I hear you. No need to thank me yet. RE: your request, I'm sorry to say that it's highly unlikely that it'll happen anytime soon if at all. Because MF has grown into a huge and complex mod with so many things going on, especially now with v2.5 launch on the horizon. Some are more important than others like custom animations, etc. Nonetheless, I'll keep that in mind.
Now my personal opinion NOT as an MF team member, I know people are going to hate me for saying this but since Bethesda took over the Fallout series, it definitely took a different direction as opposed to what Interplay/Black Isle had in mind. Fallout 4 is the best example of how to not make a Fallout game. I now play FO4 as an open world shooter. Just imagine this game with out the Fallout label, it's a good game in its own right.
