You say you enjoy making lesser-known and unique weapons, so allow me to suggest this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madsen_machine_gun
The Madsen was a light machine gun invented, produced and used in Denmark before WW2. Found to be extremely reliable and hardy, the weapons were seized by the German army and put to good (bad) use on every German front. After the war the remaining copies were sold or taken as mementos by the winners. But because of the usefulness of the LMG it was never retired.
This also makes one of the oldest light machine guns still in use today, from 1902 to present day.
Here by the Brazilian anti-narcotics police force.
