Started out as a quick bit of fun to practise hard surface in Zbrush, then texturing in Substance painter. Now I'm feeling like making the full set after testing this in-game, so here's the first shot of the Dwarven Power Armor helmet! A bit closer to the source material than TES-51 was, but I think it'll work out... Let me know what y'all think in the comments! :D
As cool as 'Dwemer Power Armour' is, I always thought that the best 'Dwemer' add-on to the TES-51 would be Automotron Robot parts, rather than 'yet another' PA.
I'm not necisarily talking a stand-alone robot based on the Dwemer designs either, but "integrated" into the world like the TES-51 is - So rather than new robots, we'd be talking about parts for existing robots instead. The 'Steam Centurian' parts would go pretty well on a Protectron frame (I wouldn't be surprised if they use some of the same animations as it is - The 'steam breath' also looks a LOT like the Assaultron 'eye laser'). Various Sphere parts could go on an Assaultron (Sphere Centurian style crossbow weapon as a stealthy ranged option? The retractible sword already work as an alternate to the 'stealth blade'). I could go on and on really...
Regardless of whether you like my idea, or stick with the PA angle, I can't wait to see the end result! Keep up the good work until then!
Leave off the shoulder skulls and color the whole armor with the same bronze color as the helmet. BTW, have you seen the Dwarven Colossus by Mihail? That type of helmet would not only look better but would give you far less hassle from the Bethesda legal robots. Glowing red or blue eyes would add to the look. I suspect blue would win a popularity contest.
This armor would be on the Mod of the Month list if made correctly.
Thats pretty damn cool man! It would be cool to see you throw some touches of the dwemer colossus from the eso morrowind trailer, the gears and such would fit in nicely with the power armor theme, but the regular dwarven set would be just as cool. Nice job as always.

I can't wait to see how you fallout-ify it, like the TES-51.
