The mod is fixed for the newest Fallout 4 version. I've also took my time to make Scopes finally work. A lot of math stuff, but it's done :v
Now get out there and scope 'em like a pro!
One more thing. I haven't got to test all of the scopes but it looked like they're scaled evenly so everything should work, but tell me if it something doesn't.
Would ya be able to release a wee tutorial on how ya managed to un-fuckulate the UI for us 5:4 lads? I tried my hand at it, and, well, it was less than adequate. Posted about it earlier on in the comments.
There haven't been any changes to the HUD since 1.5 update as far as i know anyway but I'll make this quick:
Most of the stuff can be done using JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler where you can edit dimensions in the header and frame dimensions. For the scopes you need another tool called Sothink SWF Quicker. Now the deal is, SWF Quicker can edit shapes but it's breaking the whole file making it almost useless. That's where JPEXS comes back in. You create a broken ScopeMenu file with edited shapes (you just have to stretch the height of every shape to 1024 as the game uses some weird scalling to get things done and while it looks bad sized in the editor, it's perfect in the game. Also, for the scopes you need to make them 70% of what they are AFTER stretching them to bigger height because 1280x720 is around 70% 1280x1024 and the weird game scalling.). After that you open the original file and modify header and frame size as usual and THEN you open the broken one and copy all the shapes you prepared in it to the original one and replace their counterparts using "Replace with other character tag" function. If you did your editing and math right, it should work ingame. It took me a whole day to figure out those pesky scopes but it was worth it.
I'll try to add some resizing of some small elements later on. They're not important at the moment. As for the UI background I might take some time to look into.
If you could look into the UI background that would be great! I'm talking about the highlights behind the text/vats of course. For some reason that just kills the immersion for me, seeing the (in my case) green boxes out of place in vats for example. So I'm not playing until it's fixed (yes I know, I could buy a new monitor but there are a few other things on the ''need to/want to buy list'' that are a priority) so if it ever gets fixed it would be great! Thanks for doing all that you did to fix the rest of it so far!
Hello man, a have one problem, text and all game very blurry. Not clear letters. And in long distance instead fog or models i see a big pixels. What it can be, you know?
man so do i, and the fullscreen was so annoying whenever i got out of my skyrim phase and moved to fallout 4 also i would alternate every few months so it took a while every time
Decided to give it a try for Fallout 76 because I could not use lockpicks. Much to my surprise, it worked! Just make sure to edit both the Fallout76.ini in the main folder (C: > Program Files x86 > Bethesda.Net Launcher > Games > Fallout 76) and the secondary folder (This PC > Documents > My Games > Fallout 76). In the secondary folder you must also edit the Fallout76Prefs.ini and, after editing, SAVE TO READ ONLY.
Got it to work for both Fallout 4 and 76 following the method in the README.
In steam version Fo4 need open your ":\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4" and edit the Fallout4Prefs.ini Another methot not work on my pc. dont know why. But thank u)
ive ttied this and several other fixes for the UI in game, this fixed ALOT of them,. however my power armor UI is still broken its centered so that i cant even see half the my AP meter... let alone my health or ammo
