Let me paint a picture. You finished cleaning out your new settlement spot; it's all nice and tidy, you have a couple shacks with beds built. Time to head back to one of your established settlements to pick up the stuff you need to bring the new settlement to life...a radio beacon tower and a power source. Then it hits you like a brahmin stampede. "Does this settlement have any crystals? How many circuitry do I need? Do I have enough rubber at the settlement? Did I use up all the steel? How much wood does a woodchuck chuck?"

In frustration you scream, "Why can't I just bundle up what I need?"

Well now you can.

Radio Beacon Kit adds a new recipe in the workshop's "Resources > Miscellaneous" menu that bundles up all the components you need to build a radio beacon tower and a small generator in a nice "little" box that you can pick up and take to your new, yet unsupplied settlement. When you pick up the kit, you'll find it in your "Junk" tab. ready to be broken down when needed.

the kit contains

4 Ceramic
2 Circuitry
8 Copper
2 Crystal
2 Gear
3 Rubber
14 Steel

To build the kit costs the listed components plus 4 wood and 1 steel (packaging) and requires the Local Leader perk. The kit weighs 25 pounds(?); 2 1/2 times the weight of the components. When you build the radio tower or generator, the kit breaks down like any other scrap. (Technically, it is any other scrap.)

The kit comes in two versions. The main version is for vanilla UI; the alternate adds the {Scrap} tag to the beginning of the kit's name (for Valdacil's Item Sorting.)

And to answer your last question. A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
