1. "What is this?"
MaxiNuke is a plugin that makes mini nuke explosions bigger - and more realistic. I always felt the mini nuke explosions were too small compared to the projectile size, and this was confirmed when I looked up the Fat Man atomic bomb, which is the bomb that inspired Fallout's (mini) nukes.

For instance, on survival mode, the in-game mini nuke weighs 12 pounds, while the Fat Man weighed 10,300 pounds. The Fat Man had an explosive yield of ~21 kilotons, which is equal to a (fireball) radius of about 0.2 kilometres or 0.12 miles. If we divide 100 (per cent) by the Fat Man's weight and multiply that with the mini nuke's weight, the result is that the mini nuke's blast radius should be ~0.12% that of the Fat Man's - which is roughly 23 metres or 75 feet.

It's obvious the vanilla in-game blast is much smaller than this. If you want your game to be immersive like I do, this might be the plugin for you.

tl;dr - plugin make mini nuke explosion big. very big. bigger than vanilla. enemy go boom. enemy die.

2. "What are the different versions?"

You may notice that there are two different versions in the downloads section. The difference is actually pretty straightforward:

I realised that the realistic size version, while it may be... well, realistic, might potentially be balance-breaking. Then again, this may not be an issue seeing as some aspects of the game are already imbalanced - think of all the bullet sponges etc. One could view this plugin as something like a counter-imbalance.

But, for those of you who really care about keeping their game balanced and fair, and by popular demand,
I uploaded a version (MaxiNuke - Smaller) that makes the blast slightly smaller than the realistic version (but still larger than vanilla).

tl;dr - normal version make explosion very big. very big explosion kill everyone maybe. break balance. smaller version make explosion smaller than big but bigger than small.

3. Requirements

This
plugin is dependent neither on any of the official DLC, nor on other user-created files. You need only a copy of the base game.

tl;dr - need fallout 4.

4. Installation

Same as any other plugin - either click the big, green button in the files tab to install using NMM or download manually
and drag and drop the .esp file into your data directory.

tl;dr - in file tab. hit big green button.

5. Combatibility

This plugin should be compatible with any other file as long as that other file does not change mini nuke explosions.

tl;dr - plugin work with other plugin that no change mini nuke explosion.

Q: I tried the smaller version, but the mini nukes just drop down when they hit something.
A: Please ask questions only.

Q: I tried the smaller version, but the mini nukes just drop down when they hit something?
A: Adding a question mark to a statement doesn't make it a question.

Q: I tried the smaller version, but why do the mini nukes just drop down when they hit something?
A: Maybe they were old? Or whoever you bought them from tricked you? If you found them somewhere, have you checked whether their primer was functional?

Q: Can I do xyz with this plugin?
A: Please read 9. Credits and Permissions.

tl;dr - plugin absolutely serious and work perfectly.

8. Important Information

For testing purposes and balance reasons, all versions of this plugin currently do not affect MIRV launchers, only those that fire one mini nuke at a time. Later updates might add support for MIRV launchers.

tl;dr - MIRV small explosion still.
