Version 1.01
Tweaked fomod installer. No changes to mod content itself.
I was trying to set up mods for a new playthrough after a very long hiatus from the game when I realized my previous go-to mod for encounter zones - Adjusted Encounter Zones - was never updated for the DLC! I looked at other encounter zone mods but none did quite what that mod did. There were also some grievances I had with that mod. I take my time playing and levelling up with crafting and exploration, but Corvega with Adjusted Encounter Zones was always near-impossible when I first got there and so that quest had to be put off for quite some time which was a real bummer. I liked the premise, but some "quest areas" I'd have preferred toned down a little.
So I've gone ahead and made my own really simple encounter zones mod. It does the following:
Increases minimum level of nearly all encounter zones by a bit depending on the zone and location. I tried to keep the same relative difficulty as the vanilla game so low-level zones are still pretty low-level. Due to the way levelled lists work, most enemies will still be lower-level than the encounter zone itself... but you'll see more variety earlier on than usual. The highest-level areas now have minimums in the 60s whereas previously the highest minimum was pretty much 45.
Increases maximum level of all encounter zones to 99. For instance, the Corvega Assembly Plant maxed out at level 5 previously - which means that most players probably were already higher-level than all the enemies there when they first arrived. Now even if you don't make it there until level 50, the zone should still spawn appropriate challenges for your level.
Has installation option to more-heavily adjust the encounter zones. This option resembles Adjusted Encounter Zones more strongly in that locations closer to the middle of the map and civilization are generally more difficult. This may make it difficult to "rush" through the main quest so will not be for all players. Most early quest areas are still lower-level than Adjusted Encounter Zones, though, so it shouldn't be impossible to still play "normally".
And that's it. This is a super simple mod and shouldn't really conflict with anything except other encounter zone mods. Just install with MO2 or Wrye Flash like you would normally.
