This will remove the most repeatable and annoying companion comments.


I was annoyed by a constant companions chatter since game release. Now with CK availability I finally decided to do something about it. As result I came up with this mod.
What it does is basically removes some of the most annoying and repeatable companions remarks towards your actions and monologues they tend to use all the time, especially in settlements.
It will also stop a random NPCs from telling you a stories of their life and other garbage they feel obliged to tell you. It wont stop them from talking to each other however or from talking in general. They will just stop addressing you directly against your will when you are passing by.
This mod will mostly be interesting for old players. If you are new to the game, you propably may want to run with your companion for a while before shutting him up. You can enable/disable this mod at any time in case you've met a new companion and wanna to hear what they have to say.

How it works:
It doesn't use an empty/silent audio file technique in any way. This way it keeps the size tiny, so as the possibility of any kind of lags. It simply removes certain dialogues (monologues actually) options from the list of conditions. So when such condition comes, they simply do nothing as there is nothing on the list or this list doesn't icludes certain options. So it is completely safe to remove at any time.

Companions covered so far:

All of the original story companions, Ada and custom-built robots from Automatron DLC.

What's removed so far:
- Their habbit to comment your every workbench use or weapon/armor modification.
- Their habbit to tell you about how stupid you are by taking all this junk with you.
- Their habbit to tell you that you've dropped something they find valuable.
- Comments towards all faction as they seem to repeat them even if none of these faction around.
- Comments about most generic locations. There is optional version without this.
- Most of the neutral and generic comments, as those are the most pointless and repeatable.
- Most of the Strong's comments as he seems to annoy people a lot. Now he's going to be mostly silent, unless spoken to.
- Most of the Ada's comments as she seems to annoy people a lot. Now she's going to be mostly silent, unless spoken to.
- Idle beeps, bleeps, clicks (or whatever they were making) for the custom-built robots.

I strongly suggest to use this mod alongside mine as it will stop NPCs around you from constantly telling you what they think, including companions. Despite being released even before CK it is still fully compatible as it changes only one variable (fAIMinGreetingDistance from 175 to 0).
No NPC Greetings
Starting from version 0.2 the method used in No NPC Greetings mod is implemented as part of this mod. Credits to Niero as I've used his idea.
