Hello, I hope someone can help me with the issues I'm having with this weapon.
I've used this mod before and I'm just coming back to playing Fallout 4 after a year long work assignment. The issue I'm having is after installation using Vortex as I've done before, the weapon isn't invisible but quiet when fired. In other words there are no firing sounds whether single shot or automatic.
I've never had this issue before and I'm still using v1.10.163 of the game since the latest update has broken many mods, and a reason for me to refrain from updating.
There is/are no conflicts presented by Vortex and I'm at a loss. Here's hoping that someone will be kind enough to help me in case they've experienced the same issues I'm having and provide a fix.
Thanks in advance. Best regards to everyone.
Update:
Issue has been resolved with much checking and investigation and the problem was with this mod. I overlooked that it requires v3.1 of the SA-80 mod. Once removed, the SA-80 is now firing and I'm loving it. Thank you Author, enjoying your mod again. Stay safe and best regards.
Hello there conn08. I did message you through nexus mod forum with details about some of the assets of L85A3 if you did made those or was it other authors that may those (so that I can contact them for permission to use some of those assets of L85A3). In summary, I did message you if I can use some of assets of L85A3's attachments for my standalone version of WARS of L85 if that okay to you or other authors. If not, then I do understand your reasons for that decision. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this message. If it was other author that made those assets of SA80/L85 including L85A3, then is there a contact info that I can contact them for a permission to use those (or not)?
Yes but you'd have to use the console to add it to your inventory. I'm currently downloading FOLON myself, so i may release a mod later down the line to get it back into the game since it's a british rifle and all. The FOLON team approached me years ago to ask if they can use it in their mod from memory, guess they went with another model in the end!
I've played about 15 hours of FOLON and haven't seen a single 5.56 round. So if a patch eventually does get made to distribute this weapon, ammo could be a concern unless it also gets distributed.
Yes they actually didn't implement many new calibers but just renamed them. 9mm is also the same as the vanilla 38. and so on.
Just the thing is, 280. is bassically a 7mm bullet (or more accurate 7.2 something). It's kinda immerison breaking since this larger bullet got totally different trademarks and would not be used in such AR guns like the L85- besides recoil, mag size and capacity as also the barrel need to be different in this case. Ok and damage/range would be higher, but in my opinion the dmg of this gun is already pretty overpowered- especially for a 5.56 gun.
Why not? and yes. Besides fallout london i only installed(with mo2) 3 mods: see through scopes, holstered weapons and this gun. The scopes and holstering weapons works but searching in the console '' help sa80 4'' doesnt bring any results. So i want to know how to manually install this gun.
I have manually installed it, no problems at all, in fact I've done the same for around thirty firearms in FOL.
Problem is you have to know what your doing and if you accidentally drop a file in the wrong place and don't notice your screwed.
I'm really not be patronising when I say this but if your asking I would assume you are not too familiar with modding and should probably use a mod manager to be on the safe side.
However its your choice so this is how you do it:-
drop the mod files into the data folder, the location is below:-
C/Programs Files(x86)/GOG Galaxy/Games/ Fallout 4 GOTY/ Data ( This is the default location, it might be different for you )
Most of the time there are never files that are overwrite an existing file but in this mods case there is one, its located in the following folder:-
C/Programs Files(x86)/GOG Galaxy/Games/ Fallout 4 GOTY/ Data/ Meshes/ AnimTextData/ Animation Offsets... It will be at the bottom.
Its called:- PersistantSubgraphInfoAndOffsetData
Overwriting this has caused no problems buts its best to back it up if you want to uninstall or just in case.
Then type in the windows search bar the following and hit enter:-
%localappdata%
Then find and open the Fallout 4 folder and bring up the plugins text document and type the following exactly *SA80.esp, then close the document and when it asks you to save click save.
Your all done!
Please test it on a save you do not care about as Fallout 4 does not like a lot mods being deleted. If you find you don't like it then you can delete it and not worry about causing problems to the saves you care about.
The biggest problem with manually installing is if you want to delete a mod you have to find all the files and delete them, this can be a pain and risky so again if you are not well versed in this I would advice using a mod manager.
Thanks a lot this worked perfectly and i finally could spawn the weapon with console commands, as i said, i tried installing it with a mod manager(i dont know much about modding so i used mod organizer and worked fine for other 2 mods just not this one) but when searching for the gun in the console using the line ''help SA80 4 weap'' no items showed up. But following these steps to do it manually it worked so again thanks for being very precise with the steps. Im currently enjoying the gun a lot and loving the reload animation.
That's awesome mate, I'm glad it worked and your enjoying it.
One thing, make a backup of the plugins folder, the reason is that when the Fallout London devs update the game their update will replace the plugins folder and wipe what you have personally put in there.
When the new update comes you can then just copy and paste any mods that are in the copy of the plugin folder you have kept over to the new plugin folder.
Here is a list of other weapons I have found to work in Fallout London.
If they don't work with a mod manager then the principle is the same manually as with the SA80.
Some of these weapons are added to enemy level lists, some have to be crafted in the chemistry station and some have to be spawned in using the console. Some of these mods have iconic variants, they will all need to be spawned in as the buildings they are placed in are of course in Fallout 4 and not in Fallout London.
If you need any help or have any problems with some you might like the look of just let me know.
Any chance of a adjustment to the reloading-sound? It's louder than the gun firing. It hurts my ears so I can't even use the gun, which is overall very nice.
So, for me after installing the fix the volume is indeed down. However, the sounds do not appear to be playing at the same time as the animations. I guess this has something to do with my other mods?

Thank you,

Fingers crossed for that potential FOLON integration patch/mod
I'm used to new ammo being added by like actually adding new ammo, not renaming vanilla ammo lol. That didn't even cross my mind.
