About this mod
This mod changes the ammo used by the Gatling Lasers and replace them with a new type of ammo crafted from regular Fusion Cores, so it can be reloaded like in previous Fallout games. Plus, allows crafting of Fusion Cores to create more of this new ammo, and also allows to craft Alien Blaster Rounds using Fusion Cores as a raw material.

AZRAEL'S FUSION CORE AMMO CRAFTING & GATLING LASER AMMO REPLACEMENT
=============================================================
DESCRIPTION
After 500 hours of gameplay (:P), I remembered that I had a Gatling Laser stored somewhere that I never used. But when I tried it, I was disappointed of how lame the ammo system was implemented for it (I won't describe it because must likely you already know all about it). But that also gave me an idea: How about changing the ammo system used by the Gatling Laser so it can behave and be reloaded like in previous Fallout games?
This mod is the result of that idea, and more. It adds to the game a new type of ammo for the Gatling Laser: "Fusion Core Cells", which are crafted using the regular Fusion Cores. Plus, it also allows you to craft Fusion Cores so you can create more Fusion Core Cells (or use them for your Power Armors). And since with it you know all the secrets of the Fusion Cores, you can also use them to adapt and convert them into necessary parts to craft Alien Blaster Rounds...
FEATURES
• Fusion Core crafting.
• Crafting of a new type of ammo: Fusion Core Cell (500 units per Fusion Core). This ammo can also be sold by vendors.
• Changed the ammo system of the Gatling Laser to use the new ammo instead of regular Fusion Cores.
• Alien Blaster Round crafting (500 units per Fusion Core).

HOW TO INSTALL
• If you're using mods on Fallout 4 you should know by now, but if not, refer to this guide.
UNINSTALL
• Disable the mod and delete manually or using your favorite mod manager.
KNOWN ISSUES
• None, for new generated leveled NPCs that will use the Gatling Laser. They will have in their inventory the new ammo and will use it like usual.
• I've tested this extensively and only found one minor issue (that's easily fixed): Previously generated leveled NPCs that already have the Gatling Laser, only have Fusion Cores in their inventory so they can't use the weapon (they will switch to another weapon, or use their fists instead). But this is easily fixed using the console, like this:
Method A: Force reset/update inventory.
- Open the console and select the NPC (their RefID will appear on screen).
- Use the command ResetInventory (it's normal if they become invisible, it's only temporary), and then close the console.
- Save the game, exit and return to the main menu, and then reload your last save.
- Repeat for each affected NPC (that you want fixed).
Method B (the quickest): Add the missing ammo to the affected NPCs.
- Open the console and select the NPC (their RefID will appear on screen).
- Use the command AddItem xx000F99 1 (NPCs only need at least 1 ammo to use their weapons indefinitely. "xx" is the plugin order ID), and then close the console.
- Repeat for each affected NPC (that you want fixed).
Method C (the longest): Wait at least 3 in-game days. Their inventory will be reset, eventually...
Most likely the affected NPCs will be some of the Brotherhood Knights or Star Paladins found in The Prydwen or at Boston Airport (if they have already appeared in your campaign). They will be empty-handed with no weapons on sight.
• Remember to trade and give the new ammo to your companions, if they're using Gatling Lasers.
CONFLICTS
• This mod WILL conflict with any other mod that changes how Gatling Lasers work, especially ammo used.
• This mod SHOULD NOT conflict with other mods that allow Fusion Core/Alien Blaster Round crafting.
F.A.Q.
Q: The Gatling Laser is not using the new ammo.
A: Make sure to un-equip/re-equip the Gatling Laser after installing/updating this mod at least once per Gatling Laser you own, so the changes can take place. Also, I recommend doing the same after uninstalling this mod.
Q: Another mod for Fusion Cores? What's new?
A: Read above, plus, why not? This is my version to fix the Gatling Laser ammo system, and also added Fusion Core related crafting as a bonus.
