I found a way to get Fullscreen Windowed in 1440p to work without this. I edited FalloutPrefs.ini changing Fullscreen value to 0 and inputting the 1440p resolution. Worked like a charm, thank goodness.
add after: "Fallout4 - interface.ba2" a record: ",widescreen.ba2" (yes with the comma)
save the file.
this is what I put :- sResourceStartUpArchiveList=Fallout4 - Startup.ba2, Fallout4 - Shaders.ba2, Fallout4 - Interface.ba2 Fallout4 - interface.ba2 a record:,widescreen.ba2 what should it look like? as there are no " " on the ini file, be easier if the uploader with instructions just left a cut and paste line,
Do you mind just posting the actual line to copy and paste, you mentioned a comma before and now you dont so Im still unsure. Is the space intentional?
Hi. When I go to http://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/ to download it my browser is warning me that the file may be malicious. Has anyone experienced this or found anything malicious going on?
Well it depends what menu you mention? If you have DEF_INV then you can make it smaller. If you think about UXO then you need to know this mod is outdated and no longer works.
its the transfere and barter that i want to make smaller can't see how much caps spent and selection weapons armor etc, only can see big letters of the items
I'm a few centuries late for this, but you are not meant to install Flawless Widescreen using Nexus, it is it's own program used to modify plenty of games. Install it standalone, and it will be able to effect Fallout 4 without the need to manage more than the Flawless Widescreen menu.
Mod works (for me) but some of the UI isnt in place, the HP bar and HP lettering are touching, the Ammo counter is cut-off. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi guys! Just wanted to chime in to let you know that I got this mod to work first time because it is a FIX. It's not something you should use just because you happen to have a widescreen monitor.
The reason why I say this is because I am trying to use 800x600 resolution for the game using an 16:9 monitor.
It's important to tell you here that unless you are using an unaligned setup like this (4:3 resolution on a 16:9 screen), then you do not need this file. For most people, the resolution that you use in game (determined by your ini. settings) will be the same as you use on your desktop. If it isn't, then make it so that they match. The only reason I'm using 4:3 on a 16:9 screen is because it's a very heavily modded game (250 mods) and this alleviates the FPS drop somewhat.
HOWEVER you must follow the intructions!!
The HUDMenuSet.exe file in the Data/Interface/ folder is a program you use to set where everything on screen goes. If you want the HP meter somewhere else? You can. This fix just replaces two files in that folder with something that will now render my unusual setup to work perfectly.
So I just came by to thank the modder for this fix. Cheers!

- find a line: "sResourceStartUpArchiveList= Fallout4 - Startup.ba2, Fallout4 - Shaders.ba2, Fallout4 - Interface.ba2"

it need to read all the required data and it should look like this:
data.ba2, data2.ba2, data3.ba2 (got it?)
I can't copy all the lines because each version of the game has different files.
sResourceStartUpArchiveList=Fallout4 - Startup.ba2, Fallout4 - Shaders.ba2, Fallout4 - Interface.ba2, widescreen.ba2

I am hesitant to download it.
using 5760x1080
Please be aware that the other inventory menu required third mod to function properly.
