I was looking at the pipboy for long enough and wondering. its the main UI element, cloud they not of spent a bit more time on it?
The point of this retexture is to keep true to the design sensibility of the original but create a more aesthetically pleasing texture set. IE materials that actually look like what they are supposed to be. metal plastic paint ect.
