I have a terrible fear of these things and I thought I could get through this damn game and keep playing it until someone else made this mod until OHMYGODTHEYCANWALKONWALLSFUCKTHISSHITFUCKITFUCKITFUCKIT
So here is this here mod. I have not tested it, for obvious reasons. Its supposed to replace the fuckers with molerats. Tell me if it doesn't work as advertised. Please. Tell me.

Big thanks to vram1974. He made the NoStingwing mod. I haven't tried it out myself but I will support it if there are any issues.
Random update as of 08/10/2024, I've added an alternate version of the mod that converts the... creatures in question, into Neeher's Auto Mines rather than molerats. Unlike the regular auto mines though, the replacers do not suicide bomb the player but use melee attacks and detonate after death.
