It always bothered me that the Cryolator, a unique pre-war artifact, could be upgraded with absolutely no requirement whatsoever. How could a thug with INT 1 be capable of improving a scientific relic lost to the ages, but incapable of applying a medium-range scope to a pipe gun? It never made sense to me.
Since the weapon is rather special, I wanted the requirement to be a little different. With this mod, the upgrade modifications will not appear in the workbench menu unless the player is wearing a Vault-Tec Lab Coat. Recipes remain untouched. That's it.
