Carried forward new UFO4P changes. Added SBWE support for the Assaultron Helmet, Eyebot Helmet, and Sentry Bot Helmet from the Automatron DLC. Added a non-DLC Beta version which obviously does not include the new changes, and removes the requirement for the UFO4P and all DLC.
Version V1.2
Carried forward new UFO4P changes. Added SBWE support for the DC guard helm, DC guard heavy helmet, Metal helmet, Combat helmet, Synth helmet, Synth field helmet, Assault marine armor helmet, and all versions of the Silver Shroud armor/costume. Added missing "Armored" prefixes on certain named apparel.
Version V1.1
Changed mod name to better suit content. "Armored" prefix now appears on most clothing after modifying with Ballistic Weave, as base game clothing does. Clothing with the word "armor" in the name as well as clothing starting with a proper noun are exempt from the prefix in order for the name of the item to make sense. Vault Suits are exempt due to using their own prefixes when modified with linings. Miscellaneous exemptions are due to UFO4P overrides.
Version V1+DLC
Initial Release of DLC support. Corrected record with Mining Helmet and Vault Security Helmet. Added support for Railroad Armored Coat.
Version V1
Initial Release: Support for base game clothing, hats and helmets. DLC Coming Soon!
What is SBWE? Simple Ballistic Weave Expansion is a comprehensive and balanced expansion to the selection of underarmour, clothing, full body armour, hats and helmets that can be modified with Ballistic Weave. Fallout 4 has a seemingly random selection of apparel that can be modified, which may prevent you from wearing what you want if you also want the protection that Ballistic Weave provides. Now you can have your cake and eat it too.
What was changed? A list of all items affected can be located in the Documentation tab. In short, everything that isn't a piece of an armour set, mask, or pair of glasses. The maximum amount of Damage and Energy Resistance that can be provided by Ballistic Weave is 220/220, as it was in the base game. Some pieces of apparel in Fallout 4 such as the Courser uniform can be modified with Ballistic Weave despite already having a Damage Resistance of its own, so many full suits of armour now accept Ballistic Weave as well. Notable examples include the Spike armor and Railroad armored coat. You must still unlock Ballistic Weave through Railroad side quests in order to modify the newly supported apparel.
Any Requirements? Only the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch. All changes made by the UFO4P have been carried forward to any records changed by SBWE.
Any Incompatibilities? Any mod that changes the records of any piece of apparel that SBWE also changes will be incompatible. For example, if a mod changes the Damage Resistance or Value of a piece of clothing that is covered by SBWE it will override or be overridden by SBWE depending on which is further down your load order.
Rationale Fallout 4 allows you to place Ballistic Weave MkV on 4 different hats and 7 different underarmours, which also allow you to equip individual armour pieces. Ballistic Weave MkV provides 110/110 DR/ER, so you are able to have 220 DR/ER while wearing Tattered rags and a Green rag hat. These are both very rough pieces of clothing, in fact the Tattered rags are so bad that they provide -1 Luck, and yet they can be modified to accept Ballistic Weave, with the total exceeding the protection of a full suit of Marine armor which provides ~140 DR/ER. Combined, this equals out to 360 DR/ER. The most controversial selection of armour that SBWE supports, the Railroad armored coat MkV, provides 93/150 DR/ER, coming out to 313/370 DR/ER when it and a hat are fitted with Ballistic Weave MkV. They balance out so that the vanilla option is still more powerful overall due to the much greater Damage Resistance.
