As said before, this is a little mod that tries to fill a lack of New Game Plus by giving player a choice to unlock certain perks and change SPECIAL stats to match the ones from previous playthrough, but without changing the level of the player.
Requirements:
- Far Harbor and Nuka World
How to use:
- Works with every save with character with level <= 2 -> recommended with new playthrough ofc.
- Make a note of your previous character SPECIAL stats and perks, recommended to exclude bobbleheads effects from them.
- After exiting Vault 111 and stepping form vaults platform / getting near that platform will show a dialog. To change your stats and perks choose "NO" button! For the rest look at screenshots, it will be obvious.
- After change of stats you will not have any more chance to do that, unless you reload a previous save.
Compatibility:
- Should be compatible with anything that does not ADD new perk levels and do not remove Vault 111 platform.
- I do not use alternative starts mods but as long as they start your character at level 1 and you can travel to Vault 111 this should work. Remember level 2 limit!
Some info about my approach:
- I'm not an experienced modder, but it should work.
- Console is not required.
- Just setting the level of the player would do the same about perks, but it would make all enemies much harder and with better equipment when you have only a basic 10mm gun, and still have problems with max level cap.
- Just adding perk points would not overcome level restrictions of some perks, removing them would be like asking for trouble with incompatibility with other mods.
- This way you can start a game as not a total looser without any knowledge or skills and you can quite immersively start a new build of your character while still knowing something.
- It still is quite a cheating and can break some of the challenge / immersion, but for me it's "lesser evil" than other ways written above, and hey - it's optional, remember that :)
