I always found absurdly dumb the fact you need Gun Nut 3 to craft some pipe weapons mods. It is a level 25 perk, and at this level all pipe weapons are pretty much useless, so I lowered their requirements to a max of Gun Nut 2, what can let you enjoy the early game weapons a little bit more.
