About this mod
This mod overhauls the extremely unimmersive adamantium-skeleton-perk in a logical and more realistic manner.
- Permissions and credits
Basically, this mod does two things:
1. You need adamantium to be able to take the adamantium-skeleton-perks, plus you have to work hard to get your hands on some of it, as it is the rarest and most durable material on earth (well, not really but you get the idea)- so don´t expect that you simply could craft or buy it somewhere, you have to go out and find it;)
Also, the player can´t take the perks the usual way anymore- you have to go into your inventory and use adamantium.
2. Effects granted by the perks are now way more extensive than in vanilla. Maybe you´re not Wolverine, but kind of...
Further details:
I´ve always found that the adamantium-perk was the most illogical and unimmersive perk Bethesda has implemented into Fallout 3/ NV/ 4.
So i decided to change something about that.
The last four days i´ve tried to bring some logic back to these perks and with the help of a kind user named SKK50, who helped me A LOT with the scripting part of the mod, now we can finally have (some) realism- enjoy.
The SPECIAL requirement for the perks are still vanilla (Endurance 7), as changing these values would make the mod even more immersive, but it would also mess up the perk chart, as it is hardcoded (i didn´t know that). But mayby i´ll upload a different version with harder SPECIAL requirements, which would than require the great Baka Interface Mod- we shall see.
Please let me know if there are any bugs.
Installation:
Drop everything inside the mod folder into your game-dir.
Q: Where can i find adamantium?
A: Well, i would consider searching some of the old military bases across the commonwealth and maybe the Institute wouldn´t be a bad idea either...

EDIT: As there were complaints about the mod description being too vague (i don´t really think it is, but ok), i´ll give you some additional information on what you can expect when installing the mod.
1. You can´t just take the adamantium perk via the perk chart anymore- instead, the player is forced to use a new "potion"-item, that will add the perk
if you have the respective SPECIAL requirement (endurance 7) and you will receive a little message, when that happens. Level requirement is
removed (as i hate this feature).
2. There are three instances of this item- each instance is locked up in a Master-level safe and will grant you another rank of the perk.
Rank 1 will give you 60% limb damage reduction and 75% falling damage reduction. Rank 2 will give you 80% limb damage reduction
and 90% falling damage reduction. Rank 3 gives you 90% limb damage reduction and completely eliminates falling damage.
Maybe it´s a little bit overpowered, but i play with BLD and built my mod around it´s mechanics. Also i use a couple of other
hardcore/ survival/ realism mods, so...i´m pretty much ok with that;)
3. The exact locations are Fort Hagen Command Center, National Guard Armory and Institute Advanced Systems.
