This override (which REQUIRES you get the original mod, see instructions!):
- Strips out the interior Prydwen changes (no more CTD)
- Removes all NPC changes, no new game needed now
- Restores all lasers to being lasers (and red!) and not Plasma weapons
- Squires, stop messing around and get dressed, this is war
- and generally cuts out all the massive changes the mod makes to keep Sinlessorrow's cool visual enhancements and textures.
One additional change I did make was the Combat Armor BoS decal - the dark red on dark grey just doesn't show up well in anything other than bright direct light. I added a grey background to the logo, while keeping its sprayed-on-stencil feel (slightly scratched and imperfect).
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Install an Ad Victoriam MAIN file. Looks like you can use either Apocalyptic or Pristine, your choice!
- Instead of one of the "Update Files" from that page, install this mod's Main file.
- That's it!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
The Danse Dilemma - lets you potentially take over the BoS and actually influence its policies
Brotherhood of Steel Pip-Boy Rebirth - some nice BoS skins for your Pip-Boy.
>> See optional files of this mod for a fixed Linked version!
Useful Assault Masks - provides the helmet with that red hood you see in the image
Frequently Answered Problems and Solutions (FAPS)
WHY NOT JUST INCLUDE TEXTURES?
I'm not swiping and repackaging someone else's stuff. Don't ask. Besides, this way, since you have all the assets in place, if you ever want to use the full version in a new game, all you have to do is DEACTIVATE my mod, then install and ACTIVATE one of the "Update Files" from the original mod, without having to go get the whole thing again - and you can then deactivate the original "Update Files" and switch back to this mod's override at any time.
WHY THE LOOSE FILES?
Loose files override an archive, so rather than alter the original mod's stuff, my red lasers and BoS decal act as overrides so you can switch between versions at any time. Also, since they're loose, if you decide you don't like my versions, you can just go rename the loose textures this mod provides from .DDS to .NOPE or something and the original mod's green lasers and dark decal will take effect.
AD VICTORIAM!
