If a player finishes Kent's Silver Shroud quest when they are already past level 45, he will say he can upgrade the shroud's armor, but he will not do it. This is because his script does not realize he has missed offering you the level 25 and 35 upgrades.
This quick batch file will simulate the process of getting the first two upgrades so you can get the final one directly from Kent. You will need access to the console to run it.
Warning:
Do not use this batch file if you do not have the problem described above! This fix assumes a certain game state.
To install:
Unzip the fixshroud.txt file into your Fallout 4 folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4).
To use:
Run the game.
Open the console, typically with the "~" key. Check google if not.
Type this, then hit enter: bat fixshroud
Exit the console with the same key you used to enter it.
Talk to Kent Connolly and receive the final Silver Shroud upgrade.
Optional: You will end up with three upgraded shrouds. I couldn't find a way to avoid this. If you want to play cleanly, get rid of two of them.
To uninstall:
Delete the fixshroud.txt file from your Fallout 4 folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4).
