Build a powered Stealth Boy which doesn't burn out. It is listed under Apparel in the Inventory, and can be toggled on and off by equipping and unequipping it. Stealth Boys are fun, but they burn out so quickly I tend to keep them "for emergencies" and never actually use them. On the other hand, making stealth fields too easy to get can unbalance the game. The Powered Stealth Boy can be built at the chemistry workbench, at a cost and difficulty similar to the Power Armor stealth mod included in the basic game. Crafting the Powered Stealth Boy requires Science and Sneak perks and uses up a Stealth Boy, a fusion core for power, and circuitry. The recipe is in the chemistry workbench under "Utilities."
