You have to finish the quest to drain the water BEFORE installing this mod.
Recommended method.
a) go to the location and do the quest . You have to be at least level 14(maybe 12 not sure) for the water to finally drain.
If your level is too low the water wont drain.
b) go away to another location and wait/sleep 2 days.
c) go back and clear out the raiders that took over now that the quarry is drained...
d) fast travel somewhere else and save.
e) Install the mod...
Now to the mod....

Ever wonder what you could do with a "hole in the ground" like Thicket excavations ?
Well lets see what i came up with...
The idea initially was to make this place into a settlement.
That was the easy part....
The work to make all the areas usable and accessible was a bit of a task...
My second idea was to keep it as lore friendly as possible and not change what the location originally was..which is a QUARRY...
So sorry in advance if it isnt "pretty" enough :P
I went and expanded many areas to allow for some better building but also added a few nice areas to give you more options.
I also added A LOT of paths to all the areas so most areas are accessible from different routes...
I had to change properties on almost all the floor/ground pieces to allow placing.(wasnt intended to use as a settlement).
Everything was navmeshed BY HAND because the auto generate option that does a big chunk of the work refused to work . (probably a depth issue)...
I added a few toys like lifts and a big a$$ crane bridge that really compliments the location since it is supposedly a quarry ( bethesda...how did they get those big chunks of rock to the surface ???with the elevator ?)...
Also added some more set dressing like a truck, industrial forklift and a static crane (you can place stuff in the static crane ).
I had a big disappointment though because i wanted the big crane bridge to move in several directions but the insane depth didnt allow it and there werent proper landing points for it to go to.
The game doesnt give us expanding/retracting wires so in my murkwater mod i used thin pipes that went into each other when the hook was raised. In this situation that was impossible because reaching the bottom requires several pipes in length that when retracted would come up ABOVE the crane and look really stupid.
So for now all you can do is go back and forth which is still fun and it allows the crane itself to be used as a bridge .
Ive given you enough assets to start off like water/food/power . There is also a power transmitter pylon next to the original generator and a connector on the gen to connect it to and give all the lights power all over your settlement.
The only thing i built was a cool looking bar that suits the location.
I also made that murky pond at the bottom into a small lake and gave it that "back to life" feel..
Thats all im going to say....not to spoil your discovery of the location..
Note : you may find some floaters like a few scrapables .
You will also find 2 barrier latches that could not be removed because they are tied into the location parent data..
In this case SAVE FIRST and simply open console /point to the object and click on it (careful not to grab the water),Then type "modpos z -100" (no quotes and the spaces are needed) and hit enter and the object will be sunk...
All i can say is when the lights come on at night the place looks busy and alive even without a living soul around...
Im sure you are going to enjoy this one a lot because its potential is limitless...
Now go go and drain that place...
As always if you enjoy this mod please endorse..
