About this mod

A much more detailed texture, very loyal to the vanilla style.

Permissions and credits
The quality on that bridge texture always bothered me and I couldn't find a better one that remains loyal to the vanilla style. So I made this. Optimized BC7 compression, mipmaps (let me know if I missed something). The difference is mostly noticeable when you get close, especially on the railings, which looked horrible before and stood out since they're almost at the character's eye level, extra close to the camera. But now that problem is greatly diminished (hey it's not real life)
Nothing much else to say, enjoy the crisp wood!

Questions:

♦ Ba2 version? This single texture will not affect your performance whether you have it in loose files or ba2 format. Unless you have a very potato computer, that usually runs Fallout 4 under 20 fps, in that case, it would be very useful to your game performance to learn to archive your loose texture mods into ba2 files with Cathedral Assets Optimizer. All the instructions, use information are on the mod page.

♣ 2k version? Nope, it looks b-a-d for this particular object, because it's big. Most of big objects look bad with 2k if you get close in my opinion. If it was a fan or a crate, 2k would be the way to go. But if you'd still like to try it out, the mod linked above, CAO, also has a downsizing feature that you can use on my mod. You can both resize it and pack it in ba2 at the same time. A must have tool if you're planning to mod a lot

Also I will probably keep updating this until I find the best procedures on how to draw out the most detail. But staying true to the original game style is a priority for me. Think of something like SavrenX mods. Also many thanks to ClearanceClarence for helping me get started with the proper software, check out their retexture mods, they're really good.

Last but not least, this is unrelated, but you can use this mod to create your own custom texture pack with BiRaitBec WorkBase Improved. For more information, join the Collective Modding Discord and look in the #brb-guide-docs channel, there is a guide (which also offers good information on other areas of FO4 Modding) that can help you get started.
