Greetings

I recommend using FO4Edit to check mods you downloaded for conflicts.

This mod is an ESP plugin flagged as an ESL and will not occupy one of your ESP slots.

Some day, i downloaded "Any mod any weapon". The idea is cool, but it was so weird and clunky that i deleted it. But one feature from that mod kept stuck with me: you can attach sword blades to pool cues. And i loved that. So i made this single feature into a single mod. This allows you to basically create a makeshift longsword.

There are 4 mods for each sword in the base game (including "No modification"). That makes 8 modifications for the Pool cue. The standard sword blades don't change anything, because on the sword, they are ... standard. In order to improve the Pool cue, i added damage multipliers to the standard blades and changed the damage multipliers from the upgrades so that they line up. Pool cues can now be considered as a useful weapon (seriously, what's the point of a Pool cue? You could probably deal more damage with a one-handed hammer). Also, i added 100% reach for each blade because the blades basically double the length of the stick they are attached on. The following block of information shows the differences in the effects between the normal sword blades and the sword blades for Pool cues. All the other effects remain (such as stun effects and electric damage).

Effects of the blades:
- Chinese Sword (Standard):
  - No damage multiplier -> +150% damage
  - Reach +100%
- Chinese Sword (Electrified):
  - No damage multiplier -> +150% damage
  - Reach +100%
- Chinese Sword (Serrated):
  - +75% -> +225%
  - Reach +100%
- Chinese Sword (Electrified and Serrated):
  - +75% -> +225%
  - Reach +100%
- Revolutionary Sword (Standard):
  - No damage multiplier -> +100%
  - Reach +100%
- Revolutionary Sword (Electrified):
  - No damage multiplier -> +100%
  - Reach +100%
- Revolutionary Sword (Serrated):
  - +75% -> +150%
  - Reach +100%
- Revolutionary Sword (Stun pack):
  - No damage multiplier -> +100%
  - Reach +100%

The attachments are new items. At first, i just added the "mod association" keywords from the 2 swords to the pool cue, but that felt clunky, because now i had 3 times "No modification" in the menu of the weapon. Also, balancing was off, as i wrote before (you add a giant blade to a stick and it doesn't affect damage). The way it is now, everything is less prone to mod conflicts because now i don't change anything and just add things that use vanilla keywords. Unless one of your mods removes essential keywords of the Pool cue (which makes no sense), there is no chance of mod conflicts.

Are you aware of Loose Mods? When you change the attachment of a weapon or armor piece, the old attachment will become a Loose Mod you can carry around as a miscellaneous item. You can attach them to the fitting weapon again. With this mod, the Pool cue blades share the same Loose mod as the equivalent sword blades. That allows you to remove a blade from a Pool cue and attach it to a sword handle and vice versa. No, that doesn't change the effects of modifications on your normal swords. The standard blade of your Revolutionary sword won't double the damage of the sword now, it just doubles the damage of the Pool cue. Crafting requirements (perks and ressources) for Sword blades and Pool cue blades of the same type are identical. Fun fact: the base damage of the Revolutionary sword and the Chinese officer sword is 16, the base damage of the Pool cue is 13. This is highly unrealistic (at least i hope so; i never got hit by a Pool cue), but fixing that is not the task of this mod. The modifications will adapt to a change of base damage, so feel free to download a mod that changes base damage to make balancing better. In every realistic scenario, doubling the Pool cue damage would make it similiar to the damage of a sword, which is the case in my personal load order.

With Version 2, there comes the ability to choose between slashing and stabbing. I like both and there are 2 shapes of blades, so i decided to make the Revolutionary sword blade the stabbing blade and the Chinese officer sword blade the slashing blade. Because stabbing weapons are much faster, their damage output is much higher if the damage per hit is the same as the damage per hit of a slashing weapon. I don't like that because why would you choose the Chinese blade then? That's why the damage of the Chinese blade is higher than the damage of the Revolutionary blade. I hope that makes both types of weapons somewhat balanced.

Take in mind that the stabbing animations of the game are made for knifes. There are some weird movements, but nothing too weird. I'm not sure, but i think your character uses different melee attacks if you hold W or S while attacking. These look a little bit goovy. I tried to use different single animations from stabbing weapons and slashing weapons to avoid these, but that's not possible, as far as I know.

Have a nice day.
