About this mod
Allows the player to build inside of Lexington Apartments, following on from a mini quest to pick up the key. Fully customisable, followers can be sent there, and acts like any other settlement for the player.
Also removes all "gross" decals and raider encounter, leaving you with a blank slate to customize as you please.

You're probably thinking, "SkyrimSloot, why the hell did you do this?". To answer your question, multiple reasons. Ever since release I've wanted the option to build indoors, to settle anywhere I want, as I would in a real life post-apocalyptic end-of-world scenario. Why would I choose to live in a rusted out, old, mole rat infested fuel station over literally anything indoors? I'm sure we'd all pick a cosy indoor space away from the elements over a cold, exposed open area any day of the year.
So now you can!
Lexington Settlement is the first mod of (maybe, depending what free time I get) many! There are so many indoor spaces in Fallout 4 with the potential to live in or set up a safe space for your followers. The whole apartment block is yours to do with as you wish. Fully compatible with any building item mod, and mods such as place anywhere (recommended for the best building potential.). You can remove the wooden panels blocking the doorways, or make your own doorways! Live alone on the top floor, or build apartments for your fellow followers.
EVERYTHING in this mod can be deleted and moved, even the workbench. Whilst scrapping the workbench shouldn't cause any problems, I still wouldn't recommend it just in case.
WARNING: Both doors to the settlement cell can be moved, but the original spawn points when you enter the cell will stay as they were. You could move the door to another floor but you will still spawn in the original position. This is something I don't think I can change, and if I could I'm probably not skilled enough to do it right.
Another feature of this mod is the ability to move any workbench in the game, or to scrap them for a small amount of raw materials! Although as stated above, I still wouldn't recommend scrapping them,
PS: The light streaming through the windows can probably be disabled through the console, I didn't add an option to scrap them as personally I made my settlement in a similar shape to that of the vanilla. If people want this changed though I'll update it.
The key, and, for lack of a better term, "Lore-friendly" reason for having the key, can be found on the kitchen counter of the players house in Sanctuary Hills, where the first Grognak comic can be found. This is REQUIRED as the door to Lexington Apartments is now LOCKED.
Changed the exterior map marker for Lexington Apartments, so that when fast travelling, you fast travel directly into the interior.
