I've always seen a niche that was missing between the Combat Rifle and the LMG, a type of high-caliber weapon that wasn't as bulky as the latter and not as crude as the former. Nothing ever came out that fit my definition so I decided to make my own weapon, the Battle Rifle.
Note - All screenshots were taken with 'The Ballistic Series' texture mod, which I highly recommend. The whole collection of textures dpillari created is incredible. The reason that's important is because this weapon is by-in-large a nifbash, which means it uses assets from other weapons (i.e. the Assault Rifle and Combat Shotgun), so when those weapons have their textures altered it also affects this one.

F.A.Q.
Animations? Yes, I used the Handmade rifle animations, so there will be the bug where 3rd-person use of the weapon in power armor points the barrel downwards.
Acquisition? Can be crafted in the weapons lab with ballistics skill of 60 and some other mid-game character requirements.
Crafting? Unlike the custom weapons that come with horizon, this weapon has full modification support. Even stocks!
Leveled List Integration? Yes.. crudely. The weapon will spawn on gunners but only in its default, unmodified state.
Will you make a vanilla version? No.
Future Updates? Maybe, but unlikely. Making this was fun but I see little point in continuing development. I know this version does have glaring mesh problems but for my purposes it suffices and I can suspend disbelief. If you're looking for something higher quality... download something else.
What version of Horizon does this work with? Currently 1.8, but when (or more accurately if) 1.9 comes out I will patch it.
