I created these mods a while ago. Just uploading now while I still can.
I read about the Minute Men gaining fame when they defended Diamond City against a Super Mutant invasion. So just for fun I created that Super Mutant invasion. I used to play this just to see what would happen. There are two versions of the mod, a hard one, and an easy one, both in the same zip file. Install and use one at a time.
The easy version is pretty tame. There are lots of Super Mutants, but most are skirmish muties. There are also several essential Minute-Men. So easy to win.
The hard version has all of the skirmisher muties turned into Boss muties. All but one companions are no longer essential, and only one Minute-Man is essential (only because I can't work out which one and make him non essential again). There's also suicider muties.
Obviously unless you really want almost everyone in Diamond City dead, this is a mod to play and then de-install / de-select after playing it and go back to a previously saved game.
